Like a fine wine, the Wantzenau golf course, produced by Jeremy Pern and Jean Garailde, has become renowned and is regarded as one of the great vintages of Alsace. The fairways and greens are quite simply breathtaking.

Embedded in an idyllic landscape with old trees oaks some hundred of years old, beech and birch is this wonderful golfcourse Kempferhof. Here you find everything, rolling hills along the fairways, 13 water obstacles, large greens and bunkers.

A modern examination with wide fairways, tough rough and fast and subtle greens. This countryside golf course will provide a thorough investigation of your swing and golfing skills. Progressively difficult, the best holes are around the turn.

L’Ailette is arguably the best course in Champagne. Very pretty and set round a lake with several excellent and testing holes, this is definitely one for your itinerary.Much of the course is cut through mature woodland.

Golf De Reims cannot be described as a championship standard course, but it is well worth playing as it provides an evocative mix of strategic and penal challenges that will keep you on your toes from start to finish.

With six par five's, six par four's and, you've guessed it, six par three's, Divonne challenges every part of your game. It's a very pretty layout with a good use of bunkers, water and mature woodland. Exceptionally pretty.

One of our favourites, Correncon lies 1200ft up in the Vercors Massif and on the edge of the largest nature reserve in Europe. Mountain scenery does not come more spectacular.

A modern and truly championship design by Robert Trent Jones and arguably the best course in the region. Exacting but certainly not impossible, this well-maintained layout calls for a mix of aggressive and careful play off the tee.

Golf des Aisses is coming of age. It’s always been a pretty course but condition and service was erratic. That’s all changed with some serious investment and it’s now one of the best and prettiest golf courses we’ve played in long time.

This course should be in all the best guides and played by a lot more people. As it is, Bauge is virtually unknown but features many great and visually striking holes framed by glorious countryside. The design makes you think hard off the tee.

The oldest of the three courses around Tours and a great favourite. Although quite short by modern standards, several of the holes are tight and there are plenty of streams to watch out for - accuracy, not distance, is the chief ammunition here.

An appealing target-golf course in a park crammed with ancient oaks, cedars and flowers. A popular course, Ardree provides a solid days golf and is convenient for several hotels and the city of Tours. The course starts off nice & easy but gets tighter.

This is an ideal holiday golf course. Flat, tranquil and very easy on the eye.The first couple of holes allow you to warm up before you enter the wood for the slightly tighter holes.

One of the very best courses in the south-west of France, Lacanau is a wonderful pine forest layout quite similar to Hardelot Les Pins in Northern France. Lacanau has several memorable holes and a high standard of maintenance.

The Vignes Course, 6,842 yards long, with a par of 71, designed by Rod Whitman (Canada), is set in a typically regional landscape where the beauty of the moors and the maritime pines serve to enhance the architect's design.

The Chateaux Course, 6,946 yards long, with a par of 71, designed by Bill Corre (USA), corresponds to the pure tradition of Scottish links.Wide fairways bordered by heather, gorse and broom entice golfers into the delights of a carefully preserved nature.

A wonderful contrast to its more modern neighbours, this is a classic Tom Morrison parkland course with velvet smooth fairways, small greens and plenty of craftilyplaced trees and bunkers. A favourite among golfing aficionados.

One of the best Trent Jones’ courses in Europe and wellmaintained throughout the year. The layout mixes parkland, links and woodland and provides a fair and fine test with no excuses. Most of the fairways are generous and the greens are huge.

The front-runner of the courses in south-west France, this is a Robert von Hagge beauty! Beautifully contoured fairways weave through pine, cork and oak trees to well-protected multi-tiered greens. The fairways are quite generous.

With 45 holes of terrific parkland golf, La Baule is one of the major players in French golf.Opinions vary as to which of the two 18-hole courses is better. Designed by Dave Thomas, Michel Gayon and Peter Alliss, you can’t go wrong.

Sheltered by an ancient forest, the 18 hole Bretesche golf course can, deservedly claim to rank among the most beautiful of France, or even of the world, according to Robert Sidorwsky.

Much appreciated for its pretty, tree-lined fairways, Les Ormes provides a varied challenge in a lovely location. Even off the back tees, this course is not long but big hitters are checked by the clever fairway lengths and water hazards.

This course is the second oldest in France after the Pau Golf Club (1856). Laid out alongside France’s Emerald Coast, players enjoy sea views from all 18 holes, each of which has its own individual name (the dog’s paw, the complete disaster, etc).

Saint Malo Hotel Golf & Country Club, a 27 hole golf course designed in 1986 by Hubert Chesneau, also architect of the "Golf National", host to the French Open. Set in the Mesnil forest; ancient hunting grounds of Robert Surcouf.

Where better to indulge your passion for golf in a beautiful setting between land and sea at Port en Bessin overlooking the D-Day landing Beaches£ Omaha Beach Golf, already internationally known for its current technically challenging course.

This is a &ldqou;big club&rdqou; with an exceptional clubhouse and a striking and American layout - including sculptures and floodlights! Off the back, it’s intimidating with water- or sand-surrounded greens at the end of seemingly endless fairways.

Set in mature woodland, this 27 hole course is typical of the region and boasts a superb timber framed club house which is a renovated 18th century Cider press. Just five miles from Deauville and the coast but in a quiet rural area.

This is target-golf American style with wide, sloping fairways and receptive and very fast greens. Big-hitters can go for broke on a couple of holes but you’ve got to hit it straight too. The beautiful clubhouse and restaurant are excellent.

Designed by Tom Simpson in 1929 and with another nine holes added by Henry Cotton in the 1960’s, Deauville is a very well-maintained and classic parkland course. And with clever doglegs, towering trees and tricky and quick greens.

Golf de Saint-Saens is a 6,3702 yard, par 71 golf course carved through a 200-acre estate next to the Eawy forest, reputed to be one of the most beautiful beech groves in France. Its charm lies in a blend of beauty and diversity, making it testing golf.

Built in 1897 by the great Willie Park, the club boasts a fine layout and bags of ambience. The welcome, food and atmosphere are &ldqou;home from home&rdqou; and provide the finishing touches to a lovely day’s golf.

A charming, uncomplicated golf course that is perfect for a relaxing game. Although close to the coast, you’re protected from the elements by a perimeter of huge conifers. The course is flat with true greens and plenty of birdie opportunities.

This spectacular links golf course is set on top of the cliffs and is perched high above the English Channel. As you would expect the views are nothing short of stunning and some of the golf holes run dangerously close to the edge of the sea.

Rated among the European Top 20 and World Top 100, Fontainebleau is the favourite course of many of those in-the-know. Despite being private and exclusive, Fontainebleau welcomes our clients on a &ldqou;member for the day&rdqou; basis.

This is a very pretty golf course with two contrasting nines. The front nine is target-golf in character with large bunkers and protected greens. The back nine is tighter, even prettier and makes intelligent use of the ancient waterways.

A manicured course, this is perfect for holiday golf - not too long and not too difficult, you’ve still got to keep your wits about you to avoid the visually appealing hazards.

The 18-hole, 6,806 yards long golf course, designed by the architect, Ronal Fream, who has designed several famous golf courses in France, is set in a protected, natural, wooded environment with panoramic views. The setting is one of bucolic peacefulness.

The Les Longeres course is a brilliant yet challenging course constantly changing in character, with many difficult bunkers throughout giving a threat to every approach shot to the greens. Longeres is known as Vineuil's sister course.

Designed by Tom Simpson and rated in the World Top 50, European Top 5 and host to the French Open 10 times, golfing pedigree does not come higher. This is parkland golf at its very best and most demanding. French equivalent of the the Royal and Ancient.

With pleasant views and a more open layout than the more renowned courses of the area, this course is ideal for a loosener or for higher handicaps. Despite not being a difficult course, you still need to pay attention to the raised greens.

Golf de Wimereux dates back to 1901 and is situated within the dunes of Ambleteuse. Wimereux golf course is a traditional golf links beauty that was redesigned after the First World War by British architects Campbell and Hutchinson.

Officially referred to as Aa St Omer Golf Club (after the River Aa along the river valley of which part of the course is set). The championship course, opened in 1990, was designed to enhance the stunning natural landscape of the area.

Hardelot Les Dunes in Northern France is the beautiful sister course of Hardelot Les Pins and comes with privileged access and green fees with French Golf Holidays. With huge pine trees, generous fairways and a very slick design.

Le Pins was built at the turn of the 20th Century as part of the development of the Pas de Calais resorts. Designed by renowned architect Tom Simpson in 1905 and remodelled in 1931, Les Pins retains that english feel. Hardelot is set in a nature park.

La Foret is a course in transition. Upgrades and improvements made in 2004 are now maturing. La Foret is beginning to rival La Mer and Hardelot's Pines courses for examination of your game and enjoyment. Set in a pine grove.

La Mer is a special course, and probably the premier test in the area. Recently voted in the top 100 courses in Europe and host to several Pro Tour events. Course architect Harry Colt has created a traditional Scottish links in the sand dunes.

Set between Cannes, Nice and Grasse, the Golf Club of Opio Valbonne is one of the jewels in the crown of the Riviera. Imagine an 18-hole course amidst the sea and the mountains, at the heart of a magnificent domain.

The Grande Bastide golf course is one of the Cote d’Azur’s most famous. It is situated at the heart of the region of perfumes, at the foot of the hills of the Nicoise hinterland. Blending perfectly with it’s environment, it offers magnificent views.
